Wooden bakery counter stacked with fresh loaves

Nyhavn · since 2014

Baked on the harbor before the city wakes up.

Sourdough, wienerbrød, and coffee two minutes from Kongens Nytorv. We mill, ferment, and fold in a small bakery on Havnegade.

On Havnegade

A neighborhood bakery that still smells like butter at seven.

Harbor Bakery opened in 2014 in a former skipper’s shop on Havnegade. We bake Danish classics the slow way: overnight rye, laminated dough at 4°C, and a sourdough starter named after the canal. Come for a kanelsnegl. Stay because the windows face the water.

From the counter

Neighbors, not reviews

I walk from the metro for the rye. It tastes like a proper Danish loaf, not a tourist bun.

Sofie K.

Neighbor on Store Kongensgade

Came for coffee, left with three kanelsnegle and a sourdough under my arm. Dangerous place.

Visiting from London

They remember if you take oat milk. That is rare on Nyhavn, and it matters.
